Examining the distribution of French-speaking pharmacists in Ontario

Principal Investigator: P.E. Timony

Co-Investigators: A.P. Gauthier, Nancy Waite (University of Waterloo), Richard Violette (University of Waterloo), Sherilyn Houle (University of Waterloo)

The goal of this project is to examine the geographic distribution and work patterns of French-speaking pharmacists in Ontario.  We have published a series of articles in this area of research on physicians in Ontario and have now established a partnership with the Ontario Pharmacy Evidence Network (OPEN). In collaboration with Dr. Nancy Waite, co-director of OPEN and Professor at the University of Waterloo, researchers at CRaNHR are presently examining anonymized data from the College of Pharmacists of Ontario in order to better understand the contribution of pharmacists to primary health care in the province.
