Alan W. Salmoni, Ph.D.
School of Kinesiology,

University of Western Ontario

Dr. Salmoni is the Director of the School of Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario.

His research interests include the health and well-being of older adults, factors affecting health care decisions made by older adults, the role of informal care, and the coordination of formal, informal, and self-care. He was also the Principal Investigator of the Elliot Lake Seniors’ Needs Assessment.

Prior to joining the University of Western Ontario in 2001, Dr. Salmoni was a professor of Kinesiology and gerontology at Laurentian University, and was actively involved in the research activities of CRaNHR. Although he is no longer at Laurentian University, he has maintained his research affiliation with CRaNHR.
