Development of Performance Indicators for Mental Health Services
K.T. Chan*, A. Irvine*, and R.W. Pong
In an attempt to improve the quality and delivery of mental health services in northern and rural communities, the Northeast Mental Health Centre (formerly Network North) commissioned CRaNHR to develop a continuous quality improvement system. As part of the process, CRaNHR researchers worked with the management and staff of the Northeast Mental Health Centre to develop a set of performance indicators for institutional services, community-based services, and corporate services in order to assess performance and to monitor changes in service quality over time.
